Banipur Govt. P.T.T.I. unit –I and unit II was amalgamated into one Govt. P.T.T.I. and named as North 24 Parganas District institute of Education and Training (DIET), P.O. Banipur, Dist. North 24 Parganas as per G.O. No. 39-SE(Social)/13P-6/97(Pt), dated 30.06.2001. This institute is a Co-education in nature. It is an eminent institute in the district and conducting various types of teachers’ training programme as a Nodal Agency. To achieve excellence in teaching-learning process, other works and for all round development, all are engaging in different activities very joyfully and eagerly.
